Quick Note
I have been terribly busy first half of the year because of work commitments and was unable to update the blog. I expect this to continue for a few more months. For the regulars to the blog, my apologies. I will try and update the blog more frequently.
Jan to Mid August 2021
The year started with a bang with markets reaching for higher and higher levels during Jan and Feb (ignoring the sharp correct in end of Jan/early feb). Consolidated during the months of June and July and is again trending up.
Key index returns
YTD returns of index
Nifty = 19 %
Nifty next 50 = 21.85%
Nifty mid cap 150 = 31.68%
Nifty small cap 250 = 42.52%
Looks like the smaller the market cap bigger the gains. Small cap being the best performer all the way back to Nifty.

My ETF Investments
As mentioned in my previous post about my move to Kuvera.in . I have not had any transactions against ETFs this year.
Motilal Oswal Nasdaq index had a 10:1 split which has been incorporated in the revised figures.

My Kuvera Index funds
Regular readers would see a new addition to the index fund list. I have added UTI Momentum index to the portfolio.
Also I have increased the SIP amount by 10 to 15% as a part of the annual increase recommended by Kuvera. The bull market has definitely helped. My current XIRR is at 36%, so I can’t really complain as my overall return is better than almost all the indexes except the small cap index.
